Status of Educational and Research Activities
I am currently working on the following two topics: 1. The role of the Rimklb gene in spermatogenesis and 2. The role of bradykinin in blood pressure regulation. In both cases, we have found very interesting findings by analyzing mice in which the target genes have been mutated using CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing technology. The Rimklb mutant mice were found to be male sterile, while the bradykinin KO mice had altered blood pressure.
